How To: Access a saved Safari passwords.

If you use Safari’s built-in feature to save your passwords you can easily forget a password for a site you don’t use that often. In this tutorial we will learn how to retrieve a password should you need it for another reason other than using it in Safari.

  1. First open the application Keychain Access which is in your Applications/Utilities/ Folder.
  2. You can search for the site you are looking for at the top of the window. Then double click on the site when you find it. you will see a window like this:
  3. Click the check box to “Show Password”
  4. You will be prompted for a password which is your computer password not the website password, then click “Allow Once”
  5. Your password will be displayed in the box.

    AYUDA necesito fuertemente una contraseƱa olvidada de el navegador…

    If you are on a PC you can look here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\(UserName)\Application Data\Apple Computer\Safari
    it will be in a file called something like FormValues.plist
